About the band
Formed in June 2023, Rioja Rehab are a fully live 2-piece band who are available for all your events and occasions. Made of up Matt Kinsella and Steve Billington. Both played together in various bands for over a decade, before deciding to come together to form Rioja Rehab. The name 'Rioja Rehab' comes from the fact that Matt and Steve enjoy a glass of red when getting together to chat and play. It's their rehab from a busy week. Everyone could do with a bit of Rioja Rehab!
Matt Kinsella
Matt is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist - focussing on acoustic guitar and lead vocals with Rioja, Matt is also an accomplished mandolin, banjo and tin whistle player, and is equally as at home providing backing vocals / harmonies where needed.
Steve Billington
Steve Billington
Steve is a highly talented percussionist, primarily using his electronic drum kit with Rioja - he will also regularly add his electric Cajon into the mix, giving plenty of light and shade to Rioja Rehab's music.
